Niara Campbell is originally from the New York area. She relocated to West Virginia in 2011 where she earned her degree in Women and Gender Studies and her Master’s in Public Health at West Virginia University. Niara is the founder of Ebony Women: women for social change, an organization dedicated to connecting emergency living shelters with appropriate resources in the Pittsburgh, PA and Newark, NJ areas. She has worked in higher education professionally for a total of years at various institutions including Bergen Community College and Duquesne University in offices including Student Activities, Housing and Residential Life, and Multicultural Affairs. She currently works as a program coordinator and instructor for the center of Learning, advising and student success at WVU.
