The WVU Council for Women's Concerns, which promotes the equality of women in the academic and local communities, is seeking applications for membership to fill upcoming vacancies. The Council consists of men and women who are WVU faculty, staff, students and administrators. Morgantown community members are also encouraged to apply.
APPLICATION PROCESS FOR COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP
Election of new members will take place at the April meeting.
All newly elected members are expected to attend a luncheon in May. All CWC members are expected to regularly attend CWC monthly meetings, to participate on at least one Council committee and to assist at one or more Council events.
Council meetings are held monthly September through May. Meeting times and locations are determined by June for the upcoming year, so they are known well in advance.
You may apply for membership to the Council at any time by completing an application. However, new members are voted on during the April meeting only.
The 2018 application period is now open. Applications must be submitted by Monday, March 5th, 2018 at 5:00pm.
