Join us for a morning yoga and meditation to kick start the day. Participate in this group exercise session from the safety and comfort of your home office, living room or dorm.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Maria del Guadalupe Davidson 

Dr. Davidson is a Woodburn Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies and Director and Academic Coordinator for Social Justice Affairs in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University. Dr. Davidson’s main field of research is black women’s studies where she is primarily known for her analysis of black women’s agency, critiques of Global South feminism, and her attempts to put continental philosophy in dialogue with diasporic black feminist theory. Dr. Davidson is the author of  Black Women, Agency, and the New Black Feminism (2017) and  The Rhetoric of Race: Toward a Revolutionary Construction of Black Identity (2007; translated into Spanish 2009) and the co-editor of five  collections. In 2017, she was the recipient of the Black Girls Rock—Maria del Guadalupe Davidson Rock Star Award, named in her honor, and the Women's and Gender Studies Jill Irvine Leadership Award. Her scholarship and teaching interests include black feminist theory, rhetorical theory and criticism, and Africana philosophical thought.

  • Dr. Victoria Sanchez - Navigating an undergraduate /graduate career in the sciences.
